The Rays are apparently in the thick of things with several other teams for the Red Sox top prospect first base rookie, Lars Anderson. A one time top minor league prospect for the Red Sox, he lost his chance when Gonzales signed this year. He’s posted a .276 batting average and had 67 home runs in the minors since ‘07, with a fielding percentage last year of .997.

I don’t see a real deal coming from the Rays unless it’s a steal.
